Kia ora. Nau mai, haere mai, and welcome to Te Atatū Intermediate School.

Our commitment to our students and their families extends to more than an academic promise or programme, although we firmly believe that these are vital. The staff at Te Atatū Intermediate School believe that the development of positive character values and attributes, along with resilience and perseverance in their everyday life are vitally important.

So once again, welcome to our school!

Ngā mihi nui.

Dear Parents /Whanau
We’re nearing the end of term one, 2021. So much has happened this term and one can hardly believe that we’re almost a quarter of the way through the year!
Please check the newsletter tab above for the link to the latest newsletter, and, if you haven’t already done so, please see the information on Family Zone just below this message, and decide whether you’d like to make use of our offer of a year’s free internet filtering and reporting on your children’s devices.

The school has partnered with Family Zone, a company offering both the filtering of, and reporting on, students’ online activity while they are logged into their school accounts. At TAI, we believe that student online safety is paramount, and so we’ve added this extra layer of protection for our students, supplementing the filtering offered by Network for Learning.

Along with providing this service to the school, they are offering parents a free 2021 subscription to Family Zone Premium, which provides a similar service to parents. With the necessary apps installed on both parent and children’s devices, parents have a range of options, including setting times when their children can use the internet and times when they are locked out of it, reports on their children’s online activities, the ability to filter out or allow websites or website categories, and access to information from online experts about online gaming and a whole lot more. This does not apply to to the times when children are logged into their school accounts, when the school online settings will apply. It relates to all other times outside of school hours.
