These students run the council and are elected by teachers/peers at the end of year 7. The council group is made up of year 8 students. The Principal’s councillor group meet every week to discuss issues and ideas relevant to Te Atatu Intermediate School. They regularly have meetings with their class, as they are representative of each class in the school. Ideas and events are then worked on to enhance the school, and leadership skills are developed.
