Te Atatū Intermediate School actively promotes leadership opportunities for students to have their say and their voice on issues to do with our school and community. These students have been selected as 2026 Prefects.

Kaunihera Team
These students run the council and are elected by teachers/peers at the end of Year 7. The council group is made up of Year 8 students. The kaunihera team meet regularly to discuss issues and ideas relevant to Te Atatū Intermediate School. They regularly have meetings with their class, as they are representative of the student body. Ideas and events are then worked on to enhance the school, and leadership skills are developed.
