In weeks 3 & 4 of this term Nest Consulting will visit our school to deliver the ‘Positive Puberty Plus’ programme. This Puberty Education & Empowerment Programme is designed to be positive, engaging, interactive and informative.

A parents/whanau information evening is being held in our school hall on Tuesday 18th May 2021 at 6.20pm after our student led conferences. NEST consultants will share the course outline and be available to answer any questions that you have.

Each class will have a day with the NEST educator, which is split into 3 sessions:
In the first session boys and girls will be together to learn about some of the physiological and emotional changes that occur during puberty. The class will
discuss how to manage these changes in a positive way.
In the second session boys and girls are separated into two groups. Each group will learn about the physical changes that occur during puberty.
In the final session classes come together once again to learn about concepts including anxiety, body image, media manners, and cyber safety.

This is the second time that NEST has delivered our puberty programme, and we strongly encourage each student to take part. However if you would NOT LIKE your child to participate, please let his/her class teacher know, or contact the school office.
